Terms of use
Last updated 26 June 2026
These terms apply to your use of the SlabSet concrete calculator (“SlabSet”, “we”, “us”). By using SlabSet, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What SlabSet is
SlabSet is a free online calculator that helps you estimate concrete volume, wastage, and indicative bag or ready-mix order quantities based on your measurements.
SlabSet is general guidance only. It is not engineering, structural, or building design advice; a quantity survey or certified take-off; a quote from any supplier; or a guarantee that your pour will succeed or meet code, council, or engineering requirements.
You are responsible for checking all results before ordering concrete or related materials.
2. Estimates and limitations
All outputs, including volumes, bag counts, ready-mix order sizes, and recommended supply options, are indicative estimates based on simplified formulas and assumptions. Real sites vary. Sub-base conditions, spillage, formwork, supplier minimums, short-load fees, pump access, strength grade, and engineer specifications may differ from what SlabSet shows.
You must independently verify all figures with your supplier and, for structural work, a qualified engineer or builder.
3. Recommendations
Any label such as “recommended” compares bags and ready-mix on volume logic only (bags under 0.5 m³; ready-mix from 0.5 m³). It does not endorse a supplier or product and does not reflect pricing in your region. Short-load surcharges under ~1 m³ are common with ready-mix suppliers and are separate from this recommendation threshold.
4. No professional relationship
Using SlabSet does not create a client, professional, or advisory relationship between you and the operator of SlabSet.
5. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue SlabSet at any time without notice. We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with an updated date.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SlabSet is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that the service will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or error-free.
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of SlabSet, including over-ordering or under-ordering concrete, project delay, wasted cost, or structural issues, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
7. Your responsibility
You use SlabSet at your own risk and are solely responsible for measuring and entering dimensions correctly, choosing appropriate wastage and product options, confirming quantities before purchase, and complying with building codes, council requirements, and engineering specifications in your jurisdiction.
8. Intellectual property
SlabSet, its design, and content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the calculator for personal or business estimation. You may not scrape, resell, or misrepresent the service as your own product without permission.
